Director Discussion and NOBELini Short Film Screening

Don’t miss these two short films about science and design featuring a Q&A with Directors Kiki von Glasow and Holly Stead. Kiki von Glasow's documentary, Nobel Textiles, documents the collaboration between Nobel prize winners and professional designers that culminated in the 2008 exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. Holly Stead has been following the sibling project, NOBELini, launched this year to unite young scientists and designers throughout the UK in a bid to celebrate science. Her short film, Two Cultures, will be screened after the Nobel Textiles film before the Directors host a Q&A. The NOBELini project manager and one of the NOBELini pairs will also be present. NOBELini is a Fabrics of Life project designed to foster a long-term dialogue between professionals in the arts and the scientific community.
