SG @ ELECTRIC PICNIC: SATURDAY
Science Gallery brings their blockbuster summer show BIORHYTHM: Music and the Body to Electric Picnic 2010 to present BIORHYTHM LIVE. With over 35,000 visitors so far, BIORHYTHM is the hottest ticket in Dublin, so we're taking the show on the road bringing sonically minded festival-goers buzz-worthy, pop performances, acoustic experiments and workshops exploring the natural forces that drive us to sing, strum, drum and dance.
We'll also be bringing Science Gallery favorites IGNITE, Mindball Tournament and Irish Robotics Club along with world record attempts and performing BIORHYTHM scientists. Of course Science Gallery Shop will be at the ready with the best electro-accessories to kit out tech-savvy picnicers.

Light up your life with the joys electroluminescent wire. Worried that your wellies don't look enough like a boy racers dashboard? We got you sorted. Sick of losing your tent in the dark, make a luminescent flag to safely and hygienically mark your territory. Or just trick out your clobber with an unmistakable glow until people mistake you for a firefly or a member of Daft Punk.
MINDBALL
Brain fried from the weekend? See how mellow you really are by playing the Mindball Game where you can square off against your mates to control the ball by becoming more relaxed and more focused. The more relaxed you are, the better you will do.
SG SHOP @ ELECTRIC PICNIC
Shop til you drop at our portable shop on location at EP. We've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty for everyone from eco-friendly campers to fashion conscious ravers. BODY SNATCHER
Ever found it strange to hear your voice played back to you? What does your heart beat sound like remixed? Can the sounds of your body make a hit song? Find out with BODY SNATCHER at Electric Picnic. BODY SNATCHER is an audiovisual installation by artists Alex Dowling and Sinéad Meaney that captures and manipulates sounds that visitors create using their bodies. Have the sounds of your body chopped up, stretched and mangled while immersive visuals shift around the walls of Science Gallery's tent.
CHAIN OF EMOTION
12:00-15:00
Join the Music, Sensors & Emotion (MuSE) team from Queens University's Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC), as they turn picnicers into human wires in Chain of Emotion. First, find the metallic contact points hidden throughout the Science Gallery Tent. Next, grab your friends - or any nearby body - to create a human chain and connect the points to complete the sound-generating circuit. Different contact points trigger various sounds throughout the tent, creating an interactive environment of elaborate soundscapes. To explore the sonic options adjust the length of the chain and the people in it then hear how it affects the sound...and just for funsies, adjust your level of flesh on flesh contact to vary the total resistance of the wire and mutate the audio even further!
IGNITE
15:00-17:00
If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Around the world geeks have been putting together IGNITE events to show their answers on science, technology, art and society. Fast-paced, fun, thought-provoking, social, local, global-Ignite is all of these and more. Talk titles include: 'Incest and Bestiality' by geneticist Aoife McLysaght, 'Mr Whippy Soundsystem' with Dermot McCabe and lots more!

19:00-21:00
